When I first started working as a counsellor back in 1999, the main issue people came to see me about was depression. Now it's anxiety.

Whether it's the pace and 'achievement' focus of the world we live in, the technology we cannot seem to control, the coping mechanisms we have been taught or all of the above, anxiety is far more prevalent these days.   

Working with the head is only half the picture as anxiety is a real, physical process and feeling in our body, so I like to use techniques such as tapping, breathing and relaxation to manage - and even eradicate - anxiety. 

I teach clients - from children to adults - tools and strategies to help manage their anxiety effectively and to recognise how to read their fight/flight system. 

Anxiety is an emotion that we should all be capable of experiencing, however it is not healthy to hold onto anxiety and/or to keep it running in a loop so it drives our experiences.
Learning how to break the anxiety cycle so you can experience it, notice the lessons behind it and let it go is a gratifying experience and can be done.
